Daniel D' Jesus (19 years old), a young man from Cuba, embarked on a challenging journey to the United States in search of a better life. Leaving behind a country he loved but where opportunities were limited, Daniel crossed borders with hope and determination in his heart. Upon arriving in the U.S., he faced numerous challenges, including language barriers and adapting to a new culture. Despite these obstacles, he was determined to build a future for himself. He discovered Workforce Advantage and enrolled in their Pathways to Recovery program, which offered him a lifeline to achieve his dreams. Baez worked closely with his case manager to develop an Individualized Employment Plan (I.E.P.), focusing on becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.). His perseverance paid off when he secured full-time employment as a C.N.A. at a local healthcare facility, earning $20.00 per hour. Daniel’s compassionate nature and strong work ethic made him a valued healthcare team member. Today, he continues to receive support from Workforce Advantage, expecting his 90-day employment retention milestone and looking forward to furthering his healthcare career.
