Diana Murcia - Hudson County
Diana Murcia, a determined Colombian immigrant, arrived in the United States with a dream and a heart full of hope. She settled in Hudson County, an area highly impacted by the Opioid Crisis and where a new beginning is not easy. Despite the language barrier, Diana was resolute in her pursuit of a better life for herself and her family.
Upon arriving, Diana enrolled in our English as a Second Language (ESL) program. She faced the challenge of learning a new language head-on, attending classes diligently, and practicing every chance she got. Her perseverance paid off as she became more confident in her English skills.
Diana set her sights on a healthcare career with her newfound language proficiency. She enrolled in a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training program through the Pathways to Recovery Grant, where she excelled thanks to her dedication and hard work. Diana’s compassionate nature and strong work ethic made her a standout student.
Today, Diana is a proud Certified Nurse Aide working at a reputable healthcare facility. Her journey from a non-English-speaking immigrant to a valued healthcare professional is a testament to her resilience and determination. Diana’s story inspires many, showing that with hard work and support, dreams can indeed become reality.
Congratulations, Diana, on your incredible achievements!
